SECTOR Cert Committees

SECTOR Cert's expertise relies on the volontary work of the members involved in our committees. The members come from the fields of research and development, the service sector, specialist associations, classification societies and the industry. With their knowledge and expertise they make sure that the qualification scheme and its qualification contents are monitored, improved continuously and kept up to date.

The SECTOR Cert Steering Committee monitors the impartiality and non-discrimination of the certification body. He advises us on strategic issues and ensures that all interested parties are taken into account in our work. The steering committee decides on appeals, i.e. complaints against certification decisions.

In the technical committees, the qualification contents of the training courses and examinations are specified and monitored by interested parties. Market-specific requirements and changes in application standards are discussed here and assessed for their relevance to our qualification content.

The scheme committee includes the chairmen of all technical committees as well as representatives of the examination centers, examiners and lecturers. The scheme committee advises SECTOR Cert on cross methodical questions of our qualification programme.
