Customer Venue at SECTOR Cert, Cologne

The new premises in Cologne were site for the customer venue on February, 18th and 19th. In total, 70 customers came to Cologne. This indicates that the programme was interesting and that they were keen to see the new offices.

Barbara Sölter, DGZfP, presented in her presentation the complexity of radiation protection.  Mr. Wolfgang Kappes, IZfP, gave us some inside into a ”new” technique for ultrasonic testing – Phased Array. This technique might be suitable to replace radiology testing in some fields. Dr.-Ing. Dietmar Henning, CEO SECTOR Cert, gave us an overview of some relevant American “standards” and how one can get an ACCP certificate based on an EN 473 certificate. This information was of specific interest for companies producing according the ASME code.
Organisational or corporate negligence as well as product liability were the topics of presentations done by Dr. Harald Potinecke, partner of the well-known chambers CMS Hasche Sigle, and Ute Sälzle, QM consultant and auditor.
The questions from the audience showed that it is not clear how one can protect oneself.
“In future, we will have such a customer event in regular intervals”, so Dr. Alijah, CEO SECTOR Cert. The topics “organisational or corporate negligence and product liability” will be one major topic of our seminar IN.contact in June 2010. And we are thinking about including some information on this into our BASIC training courses.”

You will find further information on In.contact and ACCP certification via bolt-on-exam on our homepage.
