Note that it is the responsibility of the certificate holder to submit the renewal documentation within 9 months of the expiration of the certification.

Your new certificate will become valid with the certification decision once all requirements for renewal have been met. The validity of a certificate cannot start backdated.

As an exception, documents submitted within 12 months of the expiry date may be considered for renewal of the certificate. Ask us beforehand, either directly by telephone at +49 2241 26682-00 or by mail.

The so-called credit system requires evidence from your e.g. working activity in the certified method(s).

Renewal shall be on application. Please apply within 6 months and 1 month before expiration of certification. The exact requirements are described in the respective certification program. For a renewal according to DIN EN ISO 9712, for example, the following proofs must be submitted with the application:

a) evidence of a satisfactory visual acuity not more than 12 months old and

b) evidence of continued satisfactory working activity without significant interruption in the certified method, level and sector(s).

A significant interruption is a continuous period of more than one year or more periods, which together exceed the total time of two years during which the candidate does not carry out any activities in the certified method, level and sector.

Ihr neues Zertifikat wird gültig mit der Zertifizierungsentscheidung, sobald alle Voraussetzungen für eine Erneuerung erfüllt sind. Die Gültigkeit eines Zertifikates kann nicht rückdatiert beginnen.

If all apllication documents have been submitted in full and the admission requirements have been met, you will receive a confirmation letter by e-mail. With this confirmation letter, you can register for the renewal examination at a center recognized by sectorcert^®

The renewal examination comprises one examination piece each according to the respective scope.

Das sogenannte strukturierte Kreditsystem erfordert verifizierbare Nachweise  z.B. von Ihrer Arbeitstätigkeit.

12 months after expiration of the certificate, no exception is possible. In this case, the candidate must take a recertification exam to obtain a new certification.
