General information about training courses
Training courses within the SECTOR Cert certification scheme
The training courses admissible by SECTOR Cert have to impart basic theoretical and practical knowledge of the corresponding method to you regardless of specific working places and environment.
These training courses have to consist of theoretical and practical parts. The theoretical instruction has to comprise lectures as well as concluding test questions which put the lessons learned into practice and prepare for the examination. Practical parts consist of practical exercises or in writing a procedure using existing standards.
How long does a training course take?
Training courses must meet minimum training times set by SECTOR Cert. These are listed in the respective certification program.
Training contents and training recognition
Training courses have to cover the training contents recognized and approved by our technical committees. The topics to be dealt with are listed in the training contents in the corresponding method (e. g. UT1).
Training courses at our recognized centres comply with our training contents. Other training courses have to be checked for each candidate (charges apply).
Contact us if you have any queries regarding the recognition of your current training courses.
What is important for direct access?
If you want to access directly without being certified in the preceding level, you have to prove not only the minimum training hours in the pursued qualification level, but also the minimum training hours of the preceding levels by documented evidence.
A reduction of the total training hours, e.g. for direct entry, is possible depending on the respective certification program. In any case, a reduction requires an application and confirmation from the certification body.
