Training within the SECTOR Cert certification programme
Training that can be recognised by SECTOR Cert must provide you with the fundamental knowledge and practical skills for the respective method, independently of specific workplaces and environments.
Training must consist of theoretical and practical parts. In addition to lectures, the theoretical instruction should include concluding test questions to check what has been learned and to prepare for the examination. Practical parts consist of practical exercises or writing a procedure description using specified standards.
How long does training take?
Training must meet the minimum training times defined by SECTOR Cert. These are listed in the respective certification programme.
Training content and recognition of training
Training must cover the training content recognised and approved by our technical committees. The topics to be covered are listed in the training content of the respective methods (e.g. UT1).
Training at our recognised locations is monitored for compliance with the training content. Training not monitored by us generally has to be assessed for each candidate for a fee with regard to fulfilment of the requirements. Important for direct entry
For direct entry without certification at the preceding qualification levels, the minimum training times of the preceding levels must also be documented in addition to the minimum training times of the intended qualification level.
A reduction of the total training hours, e.g. for direct entry, may be possible depending on the respective certification programme. Any reduction always requires an application and confirmation by the certification body.
