Objective
When examinations are conducted under SECTOR Cert certification programmes, the requirements of persons with special needs shall be taken into account. This applies in particular with regard to the duration of examinations or the approval of assistive aids. The nature of the impairment must be evidenced to the certification body before registration for the examination. A corresponding confirmation from the certification body is submitted with the examination registration.
Evidence
Suitable evidence for consideration of special needs includes:
• Medical certificate / psychological assessment
• Copy of a severe disability ID card
The medical certificate should describe and justify the compensation for disadvantages that are considered necessary and appropriate.
The determination that a relevant impairment exists is made by the head of the certification body. It is always a needs-based individual decision on the individual design of examination conditions.
The application for consideration of special needs must be submitted in writing to the head of the certification body before registration for the examination.
