Training
Training must cover the training content recognised by the UT technical committee. The minimum training time is 5 days. (The duration of a training day is at least seven hours, which may be completed on a single day or by accumulated hours.)
Please note that for an intended Level 3 certification in a method, a passed BASIC examination is a prerequisite.
Direct entry
For direct entry to Level 3 without prior Level 2 certification, the minimum training times UT1–3 according to DIN EN ISO 9712:2022-09 – in total: 23 days – must be evidenced. (The duration of a training day is at least seven hours, which may be completed on a single day or by accumulated hours.)
Where certification is sought in more than one method or with higher education in a relevant subject, the total number of training days may be reduced by up to 50% upon special application. Any reduction requires the approval of the certification body.
